Jenna Ames is a violin and viola instructor at our Macomb, IL location servicing McDonough County and surrounding areas.
Jenna specializes in violin and viola for all ages from beginner to advanced. Jenna also provides beginner piano lessons.
Jenna Ames uses mainly traditional/classical methods in her lessons, with a focus on giving students the tools needed for musical literacy and self-sufficiency in their own musical journey.

BACKGROUND
Jenna Ames is a graduate of Appalachian State University (Boone, NC) with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and a Master of Music in Viola Performance. She has taught private music lessons as well as worked with K-12 string groups through programs such as the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts in Hancock, NY.
She has played with several regional orchestras in central and eastern Illinois, western Indiana, North Carolina, and Tennessee, including the Quincy Symphony Orchestra, Knox-Galesburg Symphony, and Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra.
Jenna currently plays with the Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra in Decatur, IL, and hopes to join more orchestras in western Illinois, soon.
