The Music Therapy Initiative

We believe that when music therapy services are available to low and no income children, elderly, families, and individuals that it can improve their quality of life and that is beneficial to our whole community.

What is Music Therapy?

With the assistance of the McDonough County Community Foundation, we are able to accept 501(c) charitable contributions that will be specifically used to provide Square Music Company Music Therapy services to people in McDonough County, IL.

Recipients

If you or someone you know would benefit from music therapy please complete our submission form for consideration. Potential candidates would need to meet a certain criteria. All submissions are secure and private.

Recipient Submission

We will review submissions and contact potential candidates. We will be adding more clients as we grow. If you have submitted previously, you wouldn’t need to submit again.

Our Goal

Our initial annual target for funds is $30,720.00. This would provide 20 clients with weekly 30 minute music therapy sessions. To achieve this goal we will focus on building awareness with university and community leaders while providing a consistent platform for raising funds.

2026 annual goal would be to get to 40 clients.

The mission of Square Music Company Music Therapy is to provide a high-quality music and therapy experience where our board certified therapists ensure a person-centered and neurodiverse affirming space to promote value in self and personal growth. We strive to be an accessible service provider and a supportive pillar in the community.
