It’s Monday and hopefully you know what that means by now! Happy Music Therapy Monday 122021! Today we’re discussing co-treatment sessions with other disciplines on this fine week leading up to Christmas, as well as sharing some reminders!
Did you know your music therapist can join your other therapies? A co-treatment session, often called a co-treat, is when two different therapy disciplines work together with you and/or your child at the same time, all to maximize the therapy experience! Between our two music therapists Square Music Company has experience co-treating with physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, ABA therapy, and recreation therapy. Bringing music therapy to your other sessions is a great way to add a layer of fun and motivation! Square Music Company offers music therapy in person and via telehealth, reach out to Heather if a co-treatment session might be a good fit for you!
Reminder time – We have room for more in all our music therapy groups! Parkinson’s Sing-a-Long (either at our store or virtual participation) and our new My Baby and Me! group. As always, reach out to Heather to learn more or sign up!
The Music Therapy Department here at SMC wants to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and hope it’s full of love with others and a well-deserved break from school or work! We’ll see you next week!
